Session will explain volunteer opportunities

May 1, 2011

Learn about volunteer opportunities at Mount Rainier National Park at a session Saturday.

The Branch Hiking & Backpacking Committee of the Tacoma Mountaineers and the Mount Rainier Volunteers In the Park program are hosting a potluck brunch 9-11 a.m.

Mountaineers members and nonmembers will learn about volunteering and help kick off the 2011 Meadow Roving season. The event will be at the Tacoma Mountaineers Clubhouse. You also can learn about volunteer work at the park’s website, www.nps.gov/mora/supportyourpark/volunteer.htm or the volunteer program’s blog at rainiervolunteers.blogspot.com/.

Participants are asked to bring something to share for brunch. Beverages and tableware will be provided.
