Shipping news: Dry Beam arrives Thursday

The Dry Beam is expected to arrive at the Port of Olympia Thursday to load logs and then depart early next week for Kashima, Japan. Kashima is one of several cities north of Tokyo that was damaged in the March earthquake.

Dry Beam details:

-Steamship line: Toyo Lines.

-From: Japan.

-Flag: Singapore.

-Cargo: 7.5 million board feet of logs

-Marine terminal shifts: Five day shifts, Thursday through Monday, and a possible night shift on Monday.
