Three Olympia women and a Rochester woman were injured in a two-car DUI crash at 11 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 5 in Centralia, according to the Washington State Patrol.

According to a news release:

Carlos Pioquinto Flores, 30, of Tacoma was speeding while northbound in a 1997 Mitsubishi Montero on I-5 near mile post 81 when he rear-ended a 1994 Cadillac DeVille driven by Karen M. Rotter, 58, of Rochester.

The Cadillac was totalled, and Rotter and passengers Shirley M. Brown, 71, Faye L. Pelleriti, 67, and Nancy Parker, 61, all of Olympia, suffered back injuries and were taken to Providence Centralia Hospital.

Flores fled; he was caught shortly thereafter by Centralia police with the help of a K9 unit. He will face charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving, driving with license revoked, hit-and-run, driving without insurance and obstruction.
