Ex-Saint Martin’s star Poole to face Reign

Former Saint Martin’s standout Blake Poole, who was the Great Northwest Athletic Conference player of the year in men’s basketball this past winter as a senior, will be in Olympia on Saturday when he and the rest of the Bellingham Slam play the Olympia Reign at 7 p.m. at The Evergreen State College in an International Basketball League game.

Poole averaged 19.3 points and 11.6 rebounds per game in the 2010-11 season for the Saints, earning GNAC player of the year honors and was runner-up for West Region player of the year. He joined the Slam in April, and is averaging 13 points and 11.2 rebounds through 14 games.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children 17 years and younger.
