Fran Potasnick,a long-time Thurston County Food Bank volunteer who's also an artist work on one of 2 public entrances at the bank on Sunday, Aug 7th.This has been a labor of love of hers for the past 2 summers (she finished the other door in 2010) & uses donated glass and jewelry,and also used potted plants to frame her work around the door lines. Some of the items used in the artworks a donated piece of jewelry of her mother's for the art project and a small engraved plaque Fran installed last year honoring Jessica Moore, a fellow food bank volunteer who suddenly passed away earlier at only 25 years of age.(STEVE BLOOM/staff photographer)
