Hampton Affiliates, a Portland-based wood products company, will cut 80 jobs at its lumber mill in the Lewis County town of Randle, according to the state Employment Security Department.

The layoffs take effect Oct. 31. The job cuts were announced as part of a worker adjustment and retraining notification released by the state.

The WARN act requires companies with 100 or more employees to notify affected workers 60 days prior to closures and layoffs, according to Employment Security.
