Lacey Senior Center Luau: A fundraiser for the Lacey Senior Center building expansion project. Run Like a Dog 5k run/walk: Race starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at South Bay Veterinary Hospital, 3600 South Bay Road N.E., Olympia. The course is 3.2 miles, paved, and fairly flat. Serious competitors, casual participants, spectators, and leashed dogs are all welcome. Proceeds benefit the Thurston County Humane Societys spay/neuter clinics.
