Laugh-O-Matic

Comedian Gallagher’s signature sketch is the “Sledge-O-Matic,” a large wooden mallet that Gallagher uses to smash a variety of objects, most famously watermelons. His quirky humor and interaction with the audience will be showcased in a show at 7 tonight at D & R Theater, 205 S. I St., Aberdeen. Tickets are $18-$33 at dandrtheater.com .

Life, Death, Stamps

In Theresa Rebeck’s comic thriller, “Mauritius,” when two bitterly estranged half-sisters are forced to clear out their dead mother’s house together, the discovery of a rare stamp collection pits them against each other in a game of ruthless cunning. The Harlequin Production is now playing through Sept. 10 at the State Theater, 202 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. Stinking encouraged

In celebration of “The Stinking Rose,” better known as garlic, the Chehalis Garlic Fest and Craft Show will cover the gamut of everything garlic. There will be live music, wine tasting, a beer garden including garlic beer, face painting, kids activities, pony rides and more. Being eld at the Southwest Washi gton Fairgrounds, 2555 N. National Ave., Chehalis, festival hours are noon-8 p.m. today, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. The Vintage Trolley will pr vide transportation to Garlic Fest from stops throughout the Centralia and Chehalis. Planes, bikes, automobiles

Bring your best ride, plane, or bike for an afternoon of fun at the Annual Wings & Wheels Car Show. See the museum’s aircraft collection, and get a photo of your ride with a P-51 Mustang. The event is 2-8 p.m. Saturday at Jorgensen Air Service, 7825 Old Highway 99 S.E., Olympia. Lacey luau

Don your grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts, dresses or maybe even a coconut bikini for the Hawaiian luau, a fundraiser for the Lacey Senior Center building expansion project. Food will be provided by Hawaiian caterers and served from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be door prizes, raffles and live entertainment all taking place at the Lacey Senior Center, 6757 Pacific Ave. S.E., Lacey. Dinner is $25, or $15 for kids younger than 10.

As summer winds down, you still have the opportunity to get out and enjoy a movie in the park. This week “Tangled” is playing at Tumwater’s Screen on the Green film series.
