Providence Foundation board gets new members

The Providence St. Peter Foundation has elected three new members to its board of directors for three-year terms.

They are: Caroline Manger, president and chief executive of Caroline Manger Insurance; Dr. J. Scott Smitherman, who specializes in adult primary care; and Dr. Scott Tibbits, a hospitalist at Providence St. Peter Hospital.

Bob Lovely, Judy Henderson and Gloria Strait retired from the board.

The foundation in the past four years has distributed more than $9.4 million to Providence St. Peter Hospital, SoundHomeCare and Hospice and Mother Joseph Care Center.
