A wildfire has burned about 150 acres in Olympic National Forest and is expected to grow.

U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Donna Nemeth said Monday afternoon that no structures were threatened and no one had been hurt in the blaze that began Thursday in the Duckabush River area west of Brinnon.

The fire was burning in steep terrain but was mostly staying on the ground and burning dead brush. It covered roughly one-quarter of a square mile Monday. Smoke from the blaze could be seen from as far as Seattle.

Nemeth said a team of federal, state and local officials were called in to help manage the fire and its response.

She said the fire has been determined to be human-caused.
