A free workshop is being offered on how small businesses can sell to the U.S. Navy.

The workshop is set for 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 13 at South Puget Sound Community College’s Hawks Prairie Campus. The campus is at 1401 Marvin Road N.E., Room 118, Lacey.

The class will cover the basics of federal contracting, the basics of Navy contracting and resources available to businesses that want to succeed in the government marketplace.

Space is limited for the workshop, so preference will be given to firms that have a product or service applicable to Navy requirements.

To register for the workshop, contact Tiffany Scroggs at 360-754-6320 or tscroggs@thurstonedc. com.

The workshop is offered in partnership with the Thurston County EDC’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center and South Puget Sound Community College’s Small Business Development Center.
