Nisqually jail project meeting: A discussion of the proposed Nisqually jail project is set for 6-8 p.m. at Nisqually Middle School, 8100 Steilacoom Road S.E., Olympia. Members of the Nisqually Tribe, Thurston County Sheriff’s office and Public Works will attend along with county commissioners. 360-786-5440.


School parent meeting: North Thurston Public Schools will hold its annual meeting to discuss its state-mandated HIV/AIDS curriculum at 7 p.m. at the district office, 305 College St., Lacey. Parents who cannot attend but have questions can call Maddy de Give at 360-412-4466.


Godiva Speaks: Celebration of female poets in Olympia is set for 6:30-9 p.m. at Traditions Cafe, 300 Fifth Ave. S.E., Olympia. Cost is $5-$8.


Dog Gone Bike Tour: A three-course fundraising bicycle ride consisting of a 20-mile family ride, as well as 40- and 62-mile rides, is set for 7 p.m. at Sylvester Park, at Capitol and Legion ways in downtown Olympia. 360-970-9345.

15th annual Children’s Day: Free activities and entertainment are set for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Huntamer Park, 618 Woodland Square Loop S.E., Lacey. 360-491-0857.

Friends of the Lacey Timberland Library book sale: The sale is set for 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at 500 College St. S.E. Hardback books cost $1; paperbacks begin at 25 cents.


Skookumchuck Grange harvest dinner and bazaar: Set for noon-3 p.m. at Skookumchuck Grange, 5345 Skookumchuck Road S.E., Tenino. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for kids 6-11 years. Children under 6 get in free. Call 360-264-2480 to host a space.
