A vehicle carrying Gov. Chris Gregoire was involved in an accident on Interstate 5.

The Washington State Patrol said Gregoire’s official vehicle was sideswiped Monday afternoon by another vehicle on the freeway in Des Moines. A spokesman for the governor said nobody involved in the accident was injured and that Gregoire was back to work later in the afternoon.

State Patrol Sgt. J.J. Gundermann said the accident was under investigation and that he didn’t have information on whether anyone had been found at fault. There was some vehicle damage, but neither vehicle was disabled.

The accident occurred while the governor was returning from the Seattle area. Her State Patrol security detail was transporting her.
