Democrat Miloscia files for state auditor

The OlympianSeptember 28, 2011

State Rep. Mark Miloscia, a Federal Way Democrat, said he made his 2012 campaign for state auditor official today. He announced his intention to run for auditor on Sept. 15 but he filed formally today with the state Public Disclosure Commission, which lets him raise funds.

The lawmaker (resume is here) was first to say he'd jump in to the race after Auditor Brian Sonntag of Tacoma said he wasn’t going to seek a sixth term.

State Rep. Roger Goodman put out a statement this week quoting Miloscia’s support for his own campaign for Congress in the 1st district next year. In it, Goodman says this about Miloscia in return:

"There is no more principled public official than Representative Mark Miloscia. Mark is an example for us all, to break from the party line to stand up for what we believe in. I'm proud to be his good friend."
