The North Thurston School Board will discuss a citizen committee’s proposal tonight to put a four-year, nearly $128 million maintenance and operations levy on the Feb. 14 ballot.

If approved, the estimated levy tax rate would be about $3.56 per $1,000 of assessed value. The current rate is about $3.29 per $1,000 assessed value.

The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. at the Administration Center, 305 College St. N.E., Lacey. The proposed measure would replace an M&O levy that expires in December 2012. For more information, go to www.nthurston.k12.wa.us.
