Jefferson Middle School in Olympia was one of 30 schools in the country to receive a $10,000 grant from Vernier Software and Technology.

More than 2,000 applications were submitted for the program.

The funding will be used for the school’s robotics course. It also will be used to help support science fair activities in the school district and develop a high school robotic science class.
