4A/3A Narrows League volleyball tournaments begin Thursday

The matchups for the 4A and 3A Narrows League volleyball tournaments were finalized Tuesday. The tournaments begin Thursday for the lower-seeded teams at designated sites, with the tournament concluding Saturday at Mount Tahoma High School.

Capital, a winner of 12 straight matches, won the 3A Narrows regular-season title, and because of that, will bypass the first two rounds and automatically will play in the 3A Narrows championship match at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Top four teams to West Central III bi-district tournament

Thursday's matches
At Gig Harbor
Game 1: South Kitsap vs. Gig Harbor, 5 p.m. (loser out)

At Central Kitsap
Game 2: Stadium vs. Central Kitsap, 6 p.m. (loser out)

Saturday's matches
At Mount Tahoma
Game 3: Game 1 winner vs. Olympia, noon in auxiliary gym
Game 4: Game 2 winner vs. Bellarmine, noon in main gym
Game 5: Game 3 loser vs. Game 4 loser, 2 p.m. in auxiliary gym (winner is No. 3 to district, loser is No. 4).
Game 6 (championship match): Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner, 4 p.m. in main gym (winner is No. 1 to district, loser is No. 2).

Game 1: Lincoln vs. Timberline, 6 p.m. (loser out)

At Wilson
Game 2: Yelm vs. Wilson, 5 p.m. (loser out)

Game 3: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner, 10 a.m. in main gym (loser is No. 3 to district)
Game 4 (championship match): Game 3 winner vs. Capital, 2 p.m. in main gym (winner is No. 1 to district, loser is No. 2).
