Location of sign defeats its purpose

Just when I thought bureaucratic incompetence couldn’t get any worse I was treated to a view of the new Amtrak sign at the Centennial Station. It is a lovely, lighted sign but totally invisible because it was installed down in the hole where no one could see it unless they were actually at the station. Kind of like Target building a large lighted sign and putting it inside the store.

I wonder who paid for that boondogle?
