Governor's Mansion tour dates set

Holiday tours of the Governor’s Mansion will be offered Dec. 7, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21. According to a news release:

Twelve tours will be offered per day; each takes 60 minutes. All participants 18 or older must have photo ID. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Each tour is limited to 25 people. Cameras, backpacks, umbrellas, strollers, food and beverages are not allowed. Reservations are required; call the Department of Enterprise Services’ State Capitol Tour Office at 360-902-8880. Holiday decorations for the mansion are paid for through private donations.

In other news, inspection of the exterior of the Capitol that involves workers rappelling off the top of the dome has been postponed. The project was set to begin today.
