Steadman will work for Lacey interests

I am disappointed with the incumbent for Lacey City Council, Jason Hearn, by his inability to understand the community of Lacey and represent what is best for all of us. This election, I will be supporting a candidate who understands and is a part of our community, Michael Steadman.

His opponent, Hearn, has not only ignored and later recanted decisions that have costs us hundreds of jobs, but he touts himself as an active member in Lacey. In the last round of elections, Hearn supported people running for office who were against increases in public safety, all while begging for an endorsement by Lacey Fire District 3. Hearn has also been against the idea of annexation, even though 86 percent of Lacey residents supported the idea. Numerous community members have gone so far as to call Hearn an empty suit and out of touch with his constituents, and I couldn’t agree more. Hearn ignores what is best for the city and seems to be only concerned about pleasing the party and working on his career as a politician.

In this election, my coworkers, neighbors and I will all be supporting Steadman for Lacey City Council. As a former Marine and local business owner, he understands what Lacey needs because he and his family are active in the community. He will bring a common-sense approach to issues and not make decisions based on what is best for his political career.
