I believe there is much to be gained by the Olympia City Council appointing Dick Pust to the council position Stephen Buxbaum vacates as a result of his election as mayor.

I voted for Buxbaum and felt that voters had two very good candidates to consider.

Pust represents the views of a large part of our community. Giving these citizens standing through the appointment of Pust to the City Council would be a good thing for our representative city government, for the future of the city, and for all who need and want a voice in city affairs.

His appointment would strengthen city government as it works to address the challenging issues facing our community.

I hope this appointment is seriously considered by the new Olympia City Council.
