If Thurston County is truly interested in looking for additional and creative sources of revenue, perhaps they should understand that the ground on which they choose to make their environmental stand (pocket gopher, wetland buffers, etc.) is preventing the county from receiving millions of dollars of development fees, as well as rendering hundreds of privately owned acres useless.
