A man is accused of assaulting a Thurston County Sheriff’s deputy while nude after the deputy responded to a report of a disturbance among intoxicated men in the 2600 block of Wilderness Drive on Tuesday night.

According to a news release:

One of the men was threatening another, refusing to leave, and “ripped his own clothes off.”

When deputies arrived, the suspect charged a sheriff’s patrol car, and when the deputy exited the vehicle, the suspect charged him and “a struggle ensued.”

The suspect was subdued after deputies shot him with a taser multiple times. A deputy suffered minor injuries.

The 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and booked into the Thurston County Jail. He has a probable-cause hearing set for Friday.
