Turn lake into Capitol Estuary

While city, county and state agencies are having funding cuts, the Capitol Lake Improvement and Protection Association (CLIPA) wants tax money for the money-losing scheme of dredging Capitol Lake, and then letting it fill up with mud again.

A better name for this group is “Clip A Taxpayer.”

It is better and healthier to return the lake to an estuary and prettier, too.

An estuary is an ever-changing tidal area that helps all forms of life, and healthy to swim in. We need to return the sediment trap called Capitol Lake back into Capitol Estuary.
