Local businesses to be recognized

The Tumwater Chamber of Commerce is set to have its annual forum and business awards event at River’s Edge Restaurant at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Dec. 20.

Awards will be presented for Corporate Business of the Year and Small Business of the Year, according to a news release. Tumwater School District Superintendent Mike Kirby and Olympia-Lacey-Tumwater Visitor and Convention Bureau Executive Director George Sharp are scheduled to speak..

Admission is $8 per person; lunch is ordered off the menu.

Those who plan to attend are asked to RSVP by Dec. 19 at 360-357-5153 or on the Chamber’s website at www.TumwaterChamber.com.
