Allegedly drunk woman, 19, hit and injured by car east of Lacey

A 19-year-old woman who had been drinking and was running in the road was struck and injured at 10:27 p.m. Friday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Also according to the State Patrol:

A 20-year-old Lacey man was driving a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse east on state Route 510 near Chatham Drive, just east off the Lacey city limits, when his car struck the woman. She was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured. The car sustained about $1,000 in damage.

An investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending; it's unknown yet who might be charged.
