An estimated three hundred hearty souls enjoyed a somewhat balmy dip into the 38-degree water of Long Lake as part of the 28th Annual Polar Bear Plunge on New Years Day.Donations were also taken for the "Bucks for New Years Luck" campaign. The collected funds are used to support the Playground Pals Program,a summer program at several Lacey area schools which provides free lunches and recreation activities.STEVE BLOOM/staff photographer
