olympia community bluegrass show Blackberry Bushes, Mission Mountain, and Black River Bluegrass will be featured performers at a fundraiser benefiting SafePlace and Bread & Roses from 6:30-9 p.m. Friday at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. S.E., Tumwater. There will be an after-show jam session from 9-10 p.m., so bring your instrument and share a tune.
Italian wine tasting and appetizers Uncork and Unwind will open its doors from 2-6 p.m. Jan. 15 for a private wine tasting to benefit the Olympia Sons of Italy Scholarship Fund. Pay $20 to get five tastes and one full glass of their favorite wine. Additional glasses of wine, bottles and food will be for sale with a percentage going to the group.
