Home care business Visiting Angels of Olympia has won a "best of home care" award for the second consecutive year as selected by Home Care Pulse, a third party source of client satisfaction surveys.

Wendy Holden, Janie Easter and Dr. Angela Bowen were recently recognized for their service on the Capital Medical Center board.

Holden has spent 20 years on the board, serving as board chair, vice-chair and on the board quality committee. Easter has served for 15 years and Bowen was a founding board member when the hospital opened in 1985. She later rejoined the board in 2009.

Tri-Cities Realtor Faye Nelson is the new president of the Washington Association of Realtors, a trade organization that serves the state's real estate community. Nelson replaces Phil Harlan, an Olympia real estate agent with Keller Williams.

Nelson currently works for Re/Max First Advantage in the Tri-Cities and has worked in real estate for more than 18 years. Her term as president lasts one year.

Jeff Kearin, agency owner of an American Family Insurance office in Lacey at 5500 Corporate Center Lane, was recognized as the top producing agency in 2011. Kearin has been an insurance agent for American Family since January 2008.
