What: After spending a day on Camano Island, enjoy a Dungeness crab dinner.

Where: Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island

What you’ll get: A whole Dungeness crab, herb-roasted potatoes, green salad, foccacia bread and strawberry shortcake. A no-host bar will be available. Lasagna will be available for those who do not eat crab.

When: 3:30-7 p.m. Saturday

Tickets: $18 for Center members, $20 for nonmembers. You can pre-order tickets by calling 360-387-0222 or get them at the center’s front desk.

Visiting the island: One must-see location is Cama Beach State Park. First opened as a family fishing resort in the 1930s, the resort closed in 1989. The state began acquiring land for the 433-acre park in 1994 and it opened in 2008. The park features beachfront cabins and also is home to the Center for Wooden Boats. It is at 1880 S. West Camano Drive, Camano Island. You also can visit nearby Camano Island State Park or smaller Island County parks at Utsalady Bay and Cavalero Beach.

Getting there: Take the Camano Island/Stanwood Exit 212 off Interstate 5, between Mount Vernon and Marysville. Travel west on state Route 532 for seven miles, crossing the Mark Clark Bridge to get on the island.

Information: 360-387-0222.
