Westfield Capital mall will close at 5 p.m. today, but the movie theaters are open for business, the marketing director for the mall said.

The mall was closed Wednesday, she said, but reopened for business at 10 a.m. today. The mall has become a destination for people to get warm because of power outages throughout the county, marketing director Chantelle Herburger said.

"People are calling the mall, asking, 'Do you have power? We are on our way,'" she said.

Mall anchor tenants Macy's and Best Buy also were open today, although Herburger was not sure for how long. JC Penney's is closed, she said. Herburger said she expects the mall to be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday.
