The Olympian obtained a copy of documents that show Democratic Rep. Hans Dunshees plan in the House is for about $995 million in projects with just over $1.1 billion in financing. That suggests room to add projects above what he is said to be considering.
Here is a link to my story on the topic last weekend.
A sketch of projects in the documents Dunshee circulated with interest groups last night includes energy-efficiency improvements in public buildings and housing projects, drinking water safety projects, Department of Ecology clean-up, parks, hatcheries and fish passage work, and improvements to higher education including roughly $35 million for the Riverpoint Biomedical and Health Sciences project in Spokane.
Sen. Derek Kilmer, D-Gig Harbor, is also circulating a list of project categories that is less detailed than what Dunshee is circulating.
I have a schedule conflict and cant attend the labor councils event this morning. But I hope to follow up later with details of what Kilmer, Dunshee, and their Republican counterparts Sen. Linda Parlette and Rep. Judy Warnick are developing.
UPDATE on original 9:45 a.m. post: Dunshee has released his list here.
