Occupy Olympia is a group that deals with social justice issues. These issues are especially prominent when we have snowfall and ice storms like we have had this week. The poor and homeless suffer even more during these weather events.

Occupy Olympia is asking the federal government to prosecute the Wall Street bankers that knowingly defrauded homeowners who tried to make payments on their home mortgages, but were not allowed to.

Occupy Olympia is asking the federal government to help the poorest of the poor, the homeless, and pay for this help by taxing the billionaires that George Bush gave tax breaks to.

Occupy Olympia still has a website, please visit our web site and help us in our work for a just society for all, not just the super rich.

‘Occupy Oly’ to host national teach-in this weekend

The Occupy Olympia movement is far from dead, despite an eviction in December from state-owned Heritage Park where a tent protest against economic inequality carried on for two full months. Activists now plan a “national gathering” of Occupy protesters in Olympia this weekend – with hopes of drawing national activists from Occupy Wall Street in New York and other cities across the country.

Sponsors are calling their collection of workshops and networking opportunities the Occupy Solidarity Social Forum.
