Underground lines would cut outages

Now that the worst of this historic storm is over, I need to put into words what I believe would be a solution to most of the storm-related power outages.

Two words: “underground utilities.” Yes, I am aware that this would be a major undertaking, but I believe it would greatly pay for itself in the long run. It would save thousands of dollars in overtime paid to the utility company workers and would put to rest most of the major frustration of customers.

I also believe that the majority of consumers wouldn’t mind paying these higher rates, if the service they receive could be constant with less interruptions, especially when these bad storms hit.
