Two things: Denny Heck finally kicks off the Thurston County leg of his congressional campaign at 11 a.m. today [Saturday] at the Olympia Ballroom in Olympia. The recent snowstorm delayed the event from two weeks ago – and details about it, including his two Republican opponents, are here.

Also, county Democratic chairman Stew Henderson also is making a Valentine’s Day appearance before the Democratic Study Group at the Panorama retirement community.

Retiree Bob Walker sent me this description of the event:

Stew Henderson, chairperson of the Thurston County Democrats, will speak on "Opportunities to Participate in Shaping our Country During this Year of 2012" at the 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 14 Democratic Study Group forum in the Panorama Auditorium, 1670 Circle Loop S.E., Lacey.

Questions and comments from the audience will follow Henderson’s presentation. All Democratic Study Group forums are open to the general public, regardless of political affiliation. For additional information, telephone Ruth Shearer at (360) 438-5682.
