Thomas Weaver, a criminal defense and personal injury lawyer from the Bremerton area, has also filed to raise money to run for the same position.
In an announcement last week (which Im catching up to), Loginskys campaign said:
Loginsky is one of the states most active appellate attorneys, appearing before the state Court of Appeals and Supreme Court in person and by brief hundreds of times. She is the only announced candidate with major appellate experience.
Loginsky has earned an impressive list of endorsements, including leaders from law enforcement, defense attorneys and members of the Court of Appeals.
The encouragement and support Ive received for this campaign from across the state and the entire legal profession is humbling thank you to everyone who has joined my campaign, said Loginsky.
Acting Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, Division III, Kevin Korsmo praised Loginsky, Pams vast legal knowledge and brilliant insights have made her the go to attorney for hundreds of lawyers across the state. I eagerly look forward to working with her when she brings those skills to the Court of Appeals.
Loginsky served in the United States Navy as a medical corpsman, earned her law degree from University of Washington, clerked for the Court of Appeals and has worked as a prosecutor and special deputy prosecutor in most of the counties of Division II District 2. Pam lives in Port Orchard, where she is active in her Synagogue and volunteers with the Kitsap Humane Society, Benedict House and previously with area womens shelters.
Among those endorsing Loginsky are former Supreme Court Justice Richard Guy, sheriffs in Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Kitsap and Clallam counties, and prosecutors in Pierce, Thurston, Mason, Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap, King and Snohomish counties.
