There’s a hearing scheduled on the capital budget, followed by a vote in the House Capital Budget committee. Democratic Rep. Hans Dunshee has proposed a jobs package that would create about 22,300 positions, many in summer construction. The committee will meet at 8 a.m. in Hearing Room B of the O’Brien Building.
Select lawmakers will receive superhero capes today, honoring what those delivering the awards say are efforts to stand up for families and early learning. MomsRising, a grass-roots group advocating for economic security for families, is organizing the event, which begins at 10 a.m. in the Rotunda. Reps. Ruth Kagi, Ross Hunter and Gary Alexander, and Sen. Joe Zarelli will receive capes.
Applying campaign-contribution limits to school board candidates is scheduled for a vote in the Senate government operations committee. House Bill 2210 will be heard at 10 a.m. in Hearing Room 2 of the Cherberg Building.
SALUTE TO SAILORS
