A car was set on fire in a campus parking lot at The Evergreen State College, said emergency communications officer Kirk Talmadge.

Officials would not release the make and model of the vehicle, or disclose whether it belonged to the college, a student or a staff member. The fire was reported at 8:40 p.m. Friday, Talmadge said.

“At this point, it’s an ongoing investigation,” college spokesman Jason Wettstein said Sunday.
