Cars4Charities will take your old car, no matter what shape it is in. In return, you will get a tax deduction of $500 or more. They have hundreds of charities that can be helped by your car donation. For details, go to cars4charities.org, or call 866-448-3487.

Thurston county food bank needs clean, untorn paper grocery sacks. If you can help, drop them off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays at 220 Thurston Ave. N.E., Olympia.

Capital clubhouse helps homeless people and those with mental issues find jobs, meals, housing and clothing. It needs donations of clean, wearable clothing, tents, tarps, and blankets. The clubhouse is open from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays at 618 Seventh Ave. S.E., Olympia. Call 360-357-2582 for information on donating money, or support groups that the Clubhouse offers.

“The Great demolay race” “A Quest for Swag,” a scavenger hunt fundraiser hosted by the Olympia Chapter of the Order of DeMolay, will kick off at 11 a.m. May 26, beginning and ending in downtown Olympia. Go to olympiademolay.com/GreatDeMolayRace.html for details.

“Say it with music” Wrinkles of Washington presents an afternoon of harmonizing, dancing, comedy, instrumentals and song, to benefit Senior Services for South Sound, at 2 p.m. June 10 at Olympia High School Performing Arts Center, 1302 North St. Tickets are $15, and are available at Yenney’s Music and the Olympia and Lacey Senior Centers.
