Fundraisers Cars4Charities will take your old car, no matter what shape it is in. In return, you will get a tax deduction of $500 or more. Thurston county food bank needs clean, untorn paper grocery sacks. If you can help, drop them off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays at 220 Thurston Ave. N.E., Olympia. Capital clubhouse helps homeless people and those with mental issues find jobs, meals, housing and clothing. It needs donations of clean, wearable clothing, tents, tarps, and blankets. The clubhouse is open from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays at 618 Seventh Ave. S.E., Olympia. Call 360-357-2582 for information on donating money, or support groups that the Clubhouse offers. “The Great demolay race” “A Quest for Swag,” a scavenger hunt fundraiser hosted by the Olympia Chapter of the Order of DeMolay, will kick off at 11 a.m. May 26, beginning and ending in downtown Olympia.
