Options this Father's Day weekend for dads, kids, and everyone in-between include fancy flying, world music, a lion's dance, Randy Travis, and a celebration of reading. Watch the sky, though -- not only for planes, but raindrops!

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY -- Up in the sky!: The OLYMPIC AIR SHOW will mark its 14th anniversary this Father's Day weekend at the Olympia Regional Airport and Olympic Flight Museum on Old Highway 99 Southeast. Gates open both days at 9 a.m., but the opening ceremonies aren't until noon; aerobatic performances begin after the opening ceremonies and continue until about 4 p.m. Daily passes for adults and children ages 7 and older are $12 online and $15 at the gate. Children 6 and younger get in free. Weekend passes are $22 online and $25 at the gate. Plan to bring your own chairs or blankets. The parking at the airport fills quickly. Overflow parking is available at the south end of the airport on Old Highway 99 through Gate 15. SATURDAY -- The joy of reading gets its due: Celebrate the power of stories and reading at the third annual IMAGINATION CELEBRATION, sponsored by the South Sound Reading Foundation, Timberland Regional Libraries and the city of Olympia. The fun runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on Ninth Avenue between Franklin and Adams streets, outside the Olympia Timberland Library. Admission is free. There will be live music, magic, dancing, authors and illustrators -- and a character parade starting at 3 p.m. Dress as your favorite character from a book. SATURDAY -- A fusion of musical styles: Masterworks Choral Ensemble finishes its season with a concert that pays tribute to world music, ‘WORLD MUSIC: LIVING TRADITIONS’. It will feature performances by the winners of Masterworks' annual Youth Music Competition, flautist Sarah Hawkins and pianist Andrew Pak, as well as local Afro-Cuban quartet Ocho Pies. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. S.E., Olympia. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students and seniors. TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY -- Last chance for hijinks: It’s the last weekend to catch Olympia Little Theatre’s production of “A PERFECT WEDDING,” a British farce that begins with a man waking up on his wedding day in bed with a woman who isn’t his fiancée. SATURDAY-- The Gospel according to Randy: RANDY TRAVIS made a name for himself in the world of county music in the mid-1980s. He has recorded 20 studio albums and charted more than 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including 22 No. 1 hits. In the late 1990s, he changed his musical focus to gospel. He will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Lucky Eagle Casino, 12888 188th Ave. S.W., Rochester. The show was sold out this week, but check online for late-release tickets.

SATURDAY -- Like the Dragon: Delve into Chinese culture at the DRAGON FIRE FESTIVAL from 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday at The Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. There will be a Lion’s Dance, tai chi and kung fu demonstrations, a Chinese Orchestra, dance groups and a full Chinese meal. This is a fundraiser for Senior Services for South Sound, which oversees the Meals on Wheels Program, Adult Day Program and a Senior Activities Program. SATURDAY -- A funky mixture: With elements of jazz, rock, bluegrass, classical, funk and other influences, PODUNK FUNK creates its own sound.
