Cars4Charities will take your old car, no matter what shape it is in. In return, you will get a tax deduction of $500 or more. They have hundreds of charities that can be helped by your car donation. For details, log on to cars4charities.org, or call 866-448-3487.

thurston county food bank needs clean, untorn paper grocery sacks. If you can help, drop them off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Mondays-Fridays, at 220 Thurston Ave. N.E., Olympia.

capital clubhouse offers people who are homeless or who have mental issues resources to help them find jobs, meals, housing and clothing. It needs donations of clean, wearable clothing, tents, tarps, and blankets. Capital Clubhouse is open from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays at 618 Seventh Ave., S.E., Olympia. Call 360-357-2582 for information on donating money, or support groups that the Clubhouse offers.

“jeep jam” a fundraiser benefiting Crawl to Cure Cancer, The American Red Cross, and The Washington State Humane Society, includes a Jeep show, rock crawl, RTI Ramp, Teeter/Totter, food, beverages, vendor displays, freebees and more, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Olympia Auto Mall, 2220 Carriage St. S.W., Olympia. Dine Out to Stop Diabetes Ten percent of your dinner and a silent auction will benefit the American Diabetes Association’s “Step Out Walk to Fight Diabetes” on July 12 at the River’s Edge Restaurant, 4611 Tumwater Valley Drive S.W.
