The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Johnson has only practiced with the team four times at the three-day mini-camp following April's NFL Draft, and at the final day of the veterans minicamp in June. Classes at Eastern Washington also forced him to miss organized team activities (OTAs).
A bicep injury prematurely ended Johnson's collegiate career at Eastern. He finished his career with 17 interceptions and 341 tackles in 45 games played. Johnson is a 2007 graduate of Tumwater, and was a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in Aprils NFL Draft. During his senior season at Tumwater, he earned second-team all-2A EvCo honors at defensive back despite missing five games with an injury.
