The investigation into the disappearance of Capital Playhouse interim artistic director Troy Fisher was closed when he was found early Wednesday.

“We don’t believe there was any criminal element associated with his disappearance,” Olympia Police Lt. Jim Costa said.

Fisher was found unharmed at an Olympia Safeway, according to a news release. He was reported missing after failing to show up to a Capital Playhouse board meeting Monday. He last had been seen by friends at 11:45 p.m. Sunday.

Fisher called police from a pay phone at 1:44 a.m. He appeared disoriented and was unable to account for the past 24 hours, the release said. He was taken to Capital Medical Center for an examination.
