A man was hospitalized after he was robbed Thursday morning in downtown Olympia, police say.

Officers were called to an alley near King Solomon’s Reef, 212 Fourth Ave. E., a little before 3 a.m., according to Sgt. Aaron Jelcick.

Witnesses told police they saw a man knocked to the ground by two suspects. The suspects allegedly took the victim’s wallet and left.

Police are not sure whether a weapon was used. The investigation is ongoing.

“There are two suspects at this point, one in custody and the other is known to us, and we are currently actively looking for him,” Jelcick said Thursday morning.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was being treated for unknown injuries at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
