Rainier man faces DUI charge after car hits pole

A 75-year-old Rainier man stands accused of driving under the influence after he crashed his car into a pole on state Route 507 Wednesday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The man was driving a 1932 Ford convertible north on state Route 507 at 7:20 p.m. when he went off the roadway to the left, hitting a telephone pole.

The injured man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
