Man flown to Harborview after trailer catches fire near Toledo

A man was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Thursday morning after being injured in a trailer fire near Toledo.

Fire crews from Toledo, Vader and Winlock responded to the 5400 block of Jackson Highway 2 miles north of town at 5:13 a.m., according to Toledo Fire Chief Grant Wiltbank.

Crews found a trailer engulfed in flames.

The man was asleep inside the trailer and woke to “a possible explosion.” He was injured while leaving the trailer.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
