The Olympia School Board will hold a public hearing at 6:20 p.m. tonight at the Knox Administrative Center, 1113 Legion Way S.E., Olympia, to gather input on the district’s proposed 2011-12 budget extension for debt service fund.

The resolution will increase the fund’s expenditures by $500,000 to a total of $7,991,450 and increase debt service fund revenue by $500,000 to $7,579,728. State law requires a public hearing before the board can amend an adopted budget.

After the hearing, the board will hold a regular meeting. Agenda items include discussion of policies regarding on-the-job injuries and employee medication use, and adoption of the budget extension.

The board also is expected to go into executive session after the meeting to discuss a personnel matter. For a copy of the full agenda, click here.
