The 4-1-1 on Tenino QB Mac Shaws 460-yard passing performance
In case you hadnt heard, its worth repeating. Tenino senior quarterback Mac Shaw had a career night last Friday in the Beavers 55-28 nonleague football victory over 2A Washougal. This is the same Washougal team that defeated 3A Hudson's Bay, 50-0, in Week 1. Heres the 4-1-1: • Shaw was 31 of 43 for 460 yards and five touchdown passes against the Panthers. His TD passes were of 60, 47, 36, 35 and 7 yards. He also had three rushing touchdowns of 7, 4 and 3 yards.
• His big targets were Devante Harris (12 catches, 234 yards, 3 TDs) and Dustin Hammond (10 catches, 131 yards, TD) and Thomas Pier (nine catches, 95 yards, TD).
• Through two games, Shaw has now completed 53 of 73 passes for 721 yards and 10 touchdowns (seven passing).Credit the new offensive scheme, Tenino coach Jeff Zenisek said. The teams new offensive coordinator happens to be Bob Shaw, Mac Shaws father. Its another week of running the same offense, Zenisek said. Hes getting better and better each week."Tenino is now 2-0 overall and opens up 1A SWW Evergreen Division play this Friday (Sept. 14) hosting Elma.
