Football: Capital debuts at No. 2 in Class 2A in first media poll

The first statewide media poll for high school football was released Wednesday afternoon. The polling is done by 10 sportswriters across the state, including The Olympian's Meg Wochnick. Here's how the poll shakes out.

Capital comes in at No. 2 in 2A, but received more first-place votes (six) than No. 1 Archbishop Murphy (three). ATM tallied more overall votes/points than Capital (93 to 88) to earn the top spot this week in 2A. EvCo rival W.F. West comes in at No. 6 in 2A. The first-places votes are in parenthesis, followed by team's record and overall votes/points.
