Oregon driver injured in crash near Salkum

An Oregon driver was injured after driving off the road east of Salkum in Lewis County Monday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Kelly L. Jaffe, 48, of Central Point, Ore., was driving a 2012 Ford Focus east on state Route 12 near Fischer Road at 1:30 p.m. when she went off the road, hit an embankment and rolled the car onto its top.

Jaffe was taken to Centralia Providence Hospital by ambulance with injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
